Unfortunately, far over the heads of many.
Do people actually listen to his words before jumping to conclusions not supported by the actual substance?
Mr. Kucinich uses language as a tool for communication. English can be very precise if one bothers to have an ear for it.
Dennis uses a language often steeped in metaphors of peace and ahimsa.
American culture is often steeped in the language and metaphors of violence, such as war and other violent aggression.
If Mr. Kucinich wanted to "roundup" the opposition and "machete" their ideas and legislation, perhaps only then would many find his opinions palatable.
Oh, well. Vandana Shiva makes a point in a slightly different context:
The war mentality underlying military-industrial agriculture is evident from the names of Monsanto's herbicides - ''Round-Up'', ''Machete'', ''Lasso''. American Home Products, which has merged with Monsanto, gives its herbicides similarly aggressive names, including ''Pentagon'' and ''Squadron''.This is the language of war. Sustainability is based on peace with the earth.
