On this Veterans Day, don't let the voices of soldiers like Sgt. Luther go silent.

If this has already been posted, please forgive me. I didn't see it here, but I believe every DUer needs to see this tape which was given very little media attention. Oh those silly "liberal media" people.

I'm afraid, though, judging by (R) Rep. Buyer's reaction, when the 112th Congress convenes on January 3, 2011, and Republicons take control of our House, this will be shoved aside so Darryl Issa can launch one investigation after another into whether or not President Obama is hiding his long-form birth certificate.

This comes ultimately to satisfy the perverse needs of our military industrial congressional complex. And as such, "business decisions" to keep the fat cats in yachts, stocks, castles and private jets just allow people to treat other people like animals. America is getting downright darwinistic, just like animals in nature. Our society is regressing, perhaps merely to a 21st century version of the 1890's age of the American caste society? Like the original VW bug to the high tech contemporary make over, and the t bird and camaro and challenger and mini cooper and mustang have done.

Our Country is swindling our brave and selfless volunteer soldiers out of their happiness for the future. How can you be happy if you have an illness caused by your service and then be denied medical treatment for it? How would you like to be starting out in life to build a family and future when you have a quarter million in unpaid medical debt? How we treat our veterans is not honorable. The people that make such decisions that renege on a contract with their citizens are the moral equivalent of animals.

It sure has the aroma of "war on the cheap" they way Rummy and Darth envisioned it.

War is hell, and America uses it as casually as buying a pack of gum in the supermarket check out line.

Fucking chicken hawks. I would prefer more political leadership actually serve in the military in their lives. Then the sheer horror and destruction of war would be the absolute last option on the table, not the first.

I'd like to know how the hell we think we're going to take on Iran in a impending military attack probably to come weeks after Republicans assume the majority in congress? That war will bankrupt America or reinstate the draft. The casualty rate of such a conflict will be ten times what humanity endured in Iraq and Afghanistan. Viet Nam era death with maybe some battlefield nukes thrown in - gotta test 'em out, doncha know!
