Interesting. One conservative Christian (Barton) claims that the Founding Fathers were Christians, and now another Christian believes the way way opposite.

1. I Guess He Thinks Viewers will Take his Expressions Seriously
talk about bad acting... yet he and other sociopathic liars somehow find a way to still fool millions of adults.

2. The founding fathers were deists who didn't believe in the divine Jesus stuff
They thought the idea of Jesus being the literal "son of god" was irrational nonsense.

Adams was a Unitarian, Jefferson said the only church he would ever join would be Unitarian.

3. It matters not what religion the framers believed, or how personally devout they were.
All that matters is they thought the government should be secular. So that is what they wrote into the Constitution.

5. Well, David Barton is huge among Christians. I guarantee you that Christine O'Donnell
suggesting that Separation of Church and State is not in the Constitution came from David Barton either directly or indirectly. Every time you hear a politician give a quote from a founding father that makes them sound like fundamentalist Christians came from Barton. His crap is all over the place, especially in books for home-schoolers. This guy makes Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, Adams, Washington etc. all sound like Puritans by taking quotes out of context and in some cases completely making crap up.

Barton drives me nuts! He feeds all this crap to ignorant people and they eat it up big time! He is VERY dangerous!
