using his bully pulpit to frame SS accurately and push back against the greed-mongers who want to destroy it? I'll tell you when. Never!

Instead, Obama gives us "glittering generalities". To be fair, this goes for all our supposed leaders. Obama isn't alone in this.

What SS is and what it does could be communicated in some concise sound-bites that would EDUCATE the American people as to what the issues really are. You and I both know why that's not happening.

11. The little shit knows nothing. Before the New Deal families were

burdened heavily when tragedy struck. There was very little charity going on, no provision for taking care of people who were incapacitated, help consisted of recycled clothes and a sack of potatoes provided by some churches; families were struggling to make ends meet since we were experiencing a crippling depression. I know because I was well schooled by my family who experienced the the devestating effects of that depression. As matter of fact there is very little charity going on THESE days; food banks are being depleted and help agencies are crying for help.

Watkins' statement about "planning for disaster". Thom should have drilled him mercilessly about that.

Watkins looked pretty young. How much has he put aside, so far, in case of disaster impacting him or his loved (sic) ones? What if, tomorrow, he gets hit by a car driven by someone without insurance who has no job and no assets, and he's left a paraplegic? Maybe he has an insurance policy :rofl: to cover that.

What if he has a child who's born with a serious birth defect? What if his child contracts cancer? Is Watkins prepared, financially, to bear the cost, running to, perhaps, millions of dollars, to treat his child?

I hope Watkins isn't planning on our broken, basically non-existent, health insurance :eyes: system to help him.

What an asshat! Talk to him in about 20 years, after reality has had a chance to smack him in the face. Pffft!
