1. The Villages (assuming it's the same) is notoriously republican leaning.

Top R candidates have long been making stops there during campaigns.

3. I live in The Villages and it's all repuke all the time.

The developer is a big time repuke and gives big bucks to the repuke party. I have never seen a Democrat here for any kind of rally or campaigning, but bush has been here several times and so has palin, mcCain, rick scott (new governor), rubio, and so on. It's so sickening. I don't understand it because the people here are from all over the country. The local rag is all repuke all the time, as well and the opinion pages are filled with malkin, ollie north, and other repuke columnists. Don't even ask about the "Letters to the Editor." I have stopped reading them because my blood pressure sky rockets when I do. When we moved here we had no idea it was this bad. On the positive side, I was able to find a group of Dems and we were able to charter a bus to Tampa to see Obama when he was campaigning. I sometimes wear my Obama tee or my anti-bush tee and it is surprising how many people whisper to me how much they like my shirt. I guess they are afraid to let their fellow Villages residents know their political leanings.
