Each time I hear him speak, it causes me to ponder briefly and ask the question ' where would WE find ourselves today and at what perilous junction if John McCain WERE handed the presidency along with Palin as his V.P.?

John McCain has eroded. At one time, in the distant past, I actually admired the man. Now he will do and say anything to pander to the extreme elements of his party.

The republican party was shocked losing the whole enchilada in 2008. 2010 elections went their way because they would say anything, do anything to gather votes. They desperately reached out to embrace even tea party radicals and guess what. It worked. What does that party stand for? Whatever the constituency will vote for. Now that's leadership...

8. That reminds me of the Star Trek episode "The Enemy Within"

One of the earliest episodes. It was the one with the cute furry puppy they put a unicorn horn and weird antennae on, where the transporter fucked up and split the puppy and Kirk into doubles with polar-opposite personalities. Perhaps, if we put McCain and McCain back in the transporter, we'll get one single McCain back, but I doubt it would matter much.
