Rangel will likely receive a public reprimand from the House, and perhaps even a fine, but expulsion from the House is unlikely. Rangel has admitted he made ethical lapses, but he argues he did not intend to break the House rules. Also, the chief counsel against Rangel said the evidence did not show Rangel to be "corrupt," but merely "sloppy and overzealous."

Truth be it told, Rangel ought to count his lucky stars this is happening now, instead of in January when the Repubs would relish the thought of having his head upon a stick...

For the time being, I would ask the Rangel just try to make himself a fly on the wall.. There is redemption after this but it will take awhile.. He's been a lion for the Dem party and I pray that he one day returns to his previous glory. Many politicians have been able to put it back together after a huge scandal, McCain comes to mind.
