9. I know the contestant coordinator for Jeopardy and she says

That many times they have these way smart people (there is a written test first) whose reflexes/buzzer coordination skills the reason they tank -- if you press the button before the question is asked there is a delay which is why you see them frustrated & repeatedly pressing it, they are shut out for 5 seconds if they go even a second too early, and if they're not quick on the draw the other people answer.

For this reason jeopardy contestants not matter how great their knowledge should do a little gaming before the auditions -- the buzzer is many a contestants' downfall!

I don't agree with Mr. Coopers tone in parts of this interview.

Cheech Marin is a well known bad ass at Jeopardy. Jane Curtain and Mr. Marin are my two favorite celebrity contestant. Wolf Blitzer and Robin Quivers are the least impressive.

BTW, several years ago, I caught another "celebrity" Jeopardy and Bob Woodward also lost badly, even though he was probably the smartest guy there, because he is very, very s-l-o-w... ;)

a nerdy-looking doofus was up against Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison.

Einstein had $56,000, Edison had $48,000, while the doofus had -$200.
