get away with it. He was vicous piece of work, an exterminator from Sugarland who with his brother were accused of all sorts of violence including arson on competitors. The rich used him but they never liked him. Like Jack Abramoff, he'll be shunned.

15. Generaly when one gets sentenced, one might get a dalay to report for personal reason

but usualy you get handcuffed right there in court and get taken away. If the sentence is a state charge(like this), if there is an appeal pending sometimes he'll stay in a local lockup. This is a felony conviction and he's been fighting in hearings for years before he finaly went to trial. If he couldn't successfuly appeal the charges prior to trial, its hard to beleive he'll get out on some procedural cause at this point.

He's a creep as well as a political hack, and now he's a convicted felon about to become a jail-bird. Too bad he had to gerrymand Texas into a jigsaw puzzle first.

He knows that with many federal courts stacked with conservative judges (that's why the Republicans are always slow to deal with Democratic president's nominations) that soon or later his case will end up in a court that will summarily overturn the verdict. So basically he knows 'the fix' is in and he has nothing to worry about. Personally I hope I'm wrong and he spends a lot of time in a cell.
