As some of you may know, conservative Christian kook Bryan Fischer ignorantly dissed Giunta's award.

1. I saw this the other night. I agree with Letterman at the end, regardless of your politics or your

feeling on the war(s), Staff Sgt Guinta and his fellow soldiers are to be respected, admired, and thanked.

2. I saw that segment, which was okay until the end

the old 'fight 'em over there' 'keep us safe' jargon which I wished Dave could ask "and how do you know that?" I would have like to hear the answer to that one.

3. That was an excellent interview

and the last comment - I like this man.
When he explained how they are trained to back each other up - a light went on.
Isn't it crazy that the training for war teaches them to look out for each other and the society they are fighting for is becoming more and more self centered.
It explains some of the difficulties they may have returning and I wish it would stop the accusations of "socialist" when our society does try to watch out for others.
