A report published by a UK university has found that since the 9/11 attacks on the US in 2001, arson, criminal damage, violence and intimidation against Muslims in Britain has increased dramatically.

Case studies revealed that examples such as a Muslim woman who was punched and called a "terrorist" in front of her petrified daughter were not uncommon.

Such attacks often go unreported, and in this case the woman was too scared to inform the police. She also played down the incident to reduce her child's distress, and avoided explaining why she was singled out for wearing a burka and being a Muslim woman. The new study, "Islamophobia and Anti-Muslim Hate Crime: UK Case Studies," reveals this kind of unprovoked incident is a largely hidden experience that is insufficiently acknowledged and understood outside of the communities where they occur.

3. It's so sad, but the British Government and ours are responsible

for rousing up this hatred so they could get their illegal wars going.

You'd think Britain would not have such a short memory about what happens when you create this kind of propaganda against a group of people.

It's been obvious for a long time that the bigots among us, frustrated by intolerance for their bigotry, jumped on 9/11 to feel free to once again come out of their hateful 'hidey holes' and practice overtly the bigotry that at least up until then, was not generally acceptable anymore.

Too bad it was allowed to run rampant for a decade before being addressed seriously.
