4. No, No, NO!
You professional leftist. He's playing 3 dimensional chess and we can not possibly comprehend his political genius........

Except I wonder how he can...since he's always giving away the Queen not to mention the Knight, Rook, Bishop...the whole damn board before they even start playing.

5. Sarah Palin loves talk like that...
Obama may not deserve another term, but imagine 2 years of PRESIDENT PALIN! If enough of us stay home and don't vote in 2012, that's what we'll get- President Palin and and all-Republican Congress (plus the already-Republican Supreme Court, of course). If we let that happen, we'll deserve what we get. I only give her 2 years, because with the current state of the country, I think she'll only need that long to do us in.

7. Not my problem
I've voted straight Democratic party for 26 years. I think I deserve to vote my principles ONCE, before I die.

10. Agreed...
Kind of.

The only difference that the two parties are providing now is the speed at which we fall of a cliff. The Republicans want to careen and the Democrats want to take a calm and sensible drive over.

The Democrats serve two masters and unfortunately the people are not of importance...

But I still have hope that the way to fix it is through primaries. Just as the Republicans have taken a hard right, we can take a hard left and show up in the primaries and cast out those that are bought.

Third parties have no shot at this moment and only will when the system comes under attack for excluding them. It can bend and accept them or exclude them and break apart through revolution. I'm not advocating it, but that is the only conclusion when grievances can't be addressed through the system and that system prevents us from addressing them from outside the system via political means.

11. If your principles tell you to vote for Sarah Palin-
To spite somebody bad by putting somebody 100 times worse in office... so be it.

8. Yes we cave
Any day now the Rs will see the errors of their ways and come around to our side... Right? Just a few more concessions and, magically, the Rs will be on board... Right?

Hey, here's a thought, why not stake out an actual position FIRST and THEN negotiate? Probably too impolite; not the DLC way. After all, there's plenty of corporate cash to be had in the wake of the Citizens United "decision".
