1. Extremely eloquent??!!
Seriously, Jimmy, eloquent? That is not a word I would EVER use to describe her.

I'm sorry Mr. Carter but I disagree, she is a joke, one step above a cave man eating dirt. Sarah Palin is not qualified to care for a loved one let alone be President.

EDIT: for spelling

5. I love how each one of us immediately reacted to Jimmy describing her as eloquent.
I love you Jimmy, but you are being FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too gentlemanly. She makes Elmer Fudd look eloquent.

6. Jimmy's being gracious and non-partisan
Lost in today's world, and the world is worse for it.

8. Oh, I know he was. But using the word eloquent to describe Sarah Palin is
a bit too generous IMHO.

10. Oh, boy. I love President Carter, and I certainly agree with you.
He's being way too generous, but that's the way he is and one of the reasons he's still making a difference. He's open minded and non-judgmental. But he did finish his term as governor and went on to become president. Sarah Palin quit at half-time after turning the GOP ticket into a national joke. President Carter's grain embargo was instrumental in bringing down the USSR, while Sarah Palin believes she can see Russia from her house... Those are my comparisons. :eyes: :D

11. He's given her legitimacy she doesn't deserve
President Carter -- who actually is eloquent -- could've eloquently put this fraud in her place, trashing her in a classy way.

The comment about serving out his term as governor was a start, of course.

I do wonder whether he deliberately pulled his punches because he realized any obviously harsh comments would've provided red meat for the Right.

Palin's preferred way of making headlines is playing the victim, after all. At least President Carter didn't provide her with yet another opportunity.
