Franks was using obscurantism, religious mumbo jumbo, to distract from practical measures, because the predictable practical measures are ones he wouldn't like, such as gun control, or at least limits on magazine capacity. If Franks doesn't want to do the public business, but ramble about spiritual matters, he should resign his seat in Congree and become a pastor.

You COULD buy that 33 round magazine in 2003. It just cost a little more, because there was a finite supply of them in circulation.

The 1994 AWB, which 'banned' these magazines, only banned their manufacture. All the ones already sold, legal. All the ones sitting on store shelves? Legal. All the ones already produced and sitting in warehouses? Legal. All the ones already imported, and sitting in warehouses? Legal.

That magazine would have, instead of about $30, cost him somewhere between $60-$80. He still could have bought it.

Damn shame he can't get his facts right, because he was doing pretty good right up to that point.
