2. Of course we need a big VAT. That is the only way to even

out the trade disadvantage we have. There are drawbacks to a national VAT, and I'm sure lots of DUers will, as usual, have lots to say about how regressive a VAT is. But except children's clothing, medications and food and the VAT is the quickest and easiest way to deal with the currency manipulation and other subterfuges that our trade partners use in order to export more than they import.

3. If we need it, and it would help,

we aren't going to have it, and that's that. These right wing fucks want the middle class GONE. They want a return to Dickensian times.
