While a relative calm can be seen in many parts of Cairo, the anger and fear among ordinary Egyptians is still there.

Jacky Rowland reports on the mood on the streets.

(That last comment she makes about "looking back wistfully" must have been what Mubarak's game plan has been all along - making the police just vanish like that, releasing 1,000s of prisoners and introducing gangs of his thugs to the streets to vandalize property and "loot". Seems like it's failing though.)
