2. Always, thanks for Amy Goodman!! Nawal El Saadawal points out what we needed to hear...

this is a rebellion for democracy, equality for all --

not about religious fundamentalism and she points out not one sign in the streets

that is "religious" --

Nawal also points to things we can identify with here --

False elections --

decades of shifting wealth from the many to the few --

Unemployment

They want a new Constitution -- democracy, freedom, justice

No discrimination based on gender --

No discrimination based on being a Muslim or a Christian



Nawal also makes clear that Egypt is dominated by US/Israel --

and this is my interpretation of what she said . . .

their leaders sell them out to US for the money and the weapons and protection for

their dictorarships/corruption!

Nawal was at one time imprisoned for her activism and she said she left prison to find

a prison outside the jail --

She is no longer permitted to write --
