I honestly don't know as much about Kasich as I should. But yes, I know about the federal funds going to New York and was not particularly happy about that. As long as the tracks could handle future high-speed, I think it's a worthy investment. And as a Clevelander, I would take a slow train to Cincinnati over driving, anyway. The Plain Dealer had a nice op-ed from someone who does the drive often. Apparently the train would've been approximately 30-45 minutes longer than the drive. But the writer pointed out you could do work, and if there was wi-fi, even more work!
To Kasich's credit, I suppose, he has spent a lot more time in Cleveland than Strickland did, and was at least there for the ground breaking ceremony for the Medical Mart, something I'm sure he would've struck down had he been the Mayor of Cleveland. But I'm 100% on board with you, no pun intended, with the trains.
