IRAN: The cell phones died, the internet was cut a thousand were murdered, many more thousands arrested.
One year ago Blurred Vision, a group of Iranian expats living in Canada released a protest song/video. They chose "Another Brick in the Wall", famous in the struggle against apartheid.
The video aptly portrays the fear, anger and contempt young Iranians have for their regime. The last scene has young woman woman taking off her hijab and walking to her death
In South Africa, Pretoria banned the song and the Wall Album. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei went one better. All music was outlawed in August 2010.
One year later, I pray for their safety as they head back onto the streets.
