...we need to get a more general understanding of why this is a bad thing.

Right now the amount of apathy and people who are victims of the propaganda / misinformation / disinformation campaigns, means people just don't recognize what is happening and how utterly anti-democratic it is, and how it is against the principles upon which our country was founded.

The very people and corporations who are doing this, wrap themselves in the flag and cite the Founders and make blatantly false claims to keep people on their side while they steal the whole thing.

We think that because we are the USA, the "beacon of hope" to the world, that it can't happen here. Yet here we are, and it IS happening here, right now.

3. Is it fascism yet?

Well, by God, if it isn't it will be before long.

We watched the Teabaggers with their false outrage. Now, in the face of true and justifiable outrage, Republicans are carrying on with their radical FAR FAR right wing agenda. Yet the news media won't say a word. The media is more out to lunch on this issue than they were leading up to the Iraq War. These privatization efforts should be headlines and the first TV news story but there is nary a word.

This is no longer the United States of America. I do not know what it is.

We are returning to a medieval structure of ownership and governance.

At this time corporations are the lords, but in time individual families will take over the corporations and become the lords.

Welcome to Saudi Arabia. That's about as close to medieval as we have had in recent years until now.
