C.I.A. Closes Unit Focused on Capture of bin Laden

By MARK MAZZETTI
Published: July 4, 2006

WASHINGTON, July 3 — The Central Intelligence Agency has closed a unit that for a decade had the mission of hunting Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants, intelligence officials confirmed Monday.

The unit, known as Alec Station, was disbanded late last year and its analysts reassigned within the C.I.A. Counterterrorist Center, the officials said.

3. Just more proof Fox News isn't anything but a mouthpiece for the
Republican Party.

I'm not going to watch it, either, five seconds is enough.

11. Don't you all get it? If Bush the Dumber hadn't ignored him for so long...
...then UBL never would have gotten complacent in his false sense of security. That's what opened the door for the raid a short 9 years later.

All part of his master plan.
