When Clinton wanted to go after bin Laden, the right-wingers (who were pushing the Paula Jones civil lawsuit and supporting the Ken Starr investigation) were accusing him of wagging the dog.

So, can we all conclude that it was a terrible idea to allow a sitting president to face a civil lawsuit DURING his term of office?
