2. Now Let's Hear Obama Say It!
Loud and clear. Us versus Them. Labor versus Corporations. But he better back it up.

4. Vice-President Biden could start out by supporting the postal workers fight against union busting.
Edited on Mon Sep-05-11 10:33 PM by Better Believe It
Maybe he and President Obama just don't know about this labor struggle.

6. I'm thinking this speech basically says that - supportive of
unions, but I agree they could come out way more strongly than they have thus far.

11. To make a speech?
It's not anywhere near enough, not that that is what you were saying. Yes it is high time they reciprocated by fighting for union workers.

10. Wish he would tell corporations he supports unions.
The unions do stand up! This speech amounts to bupkiss. It so looks like they only come out during campaign season.

20. No. It's disastrously late
in the day. This adminisatration has been too busy snuggling with Republican corporatists instead of standing with and defending working people.

21. I understand perfectly well Joe
I understand Obama talks the talk for labor, but, walks the walk for right-wing corporate interests. Now you turn to labor wanting our support again. Well Joe sorry, but, you're gonna have to SHOW me why we should support you and your boss, not just tell us. Words were good enough last time. This time nope.

26. The Obama administration is finally waking up; hope its not too late.
Biden has always been pro-labor and a tough campaigner. I think that the weak link has been Obama with his bipartisanship bull crap. What can you say to people making starvation wages would are so damn stupid that they think the Republican Tea-baggers are their friend? Unfortunately, their racist prejudice blocks out any reasonable conclusions regardless of their protestations they are not bias.

Edited on Tue Sep-06-11 12:39 PM by ooglymoogly
and they have lost the unions, seniors and working folks. Time to talk liberal again to get re-elected.

He did it once and he'll do it again.....depending on who the loons run against him. If its Norman Rockwell, I predict a landslide loss.
