Maggie Fox, Al Gore's Climate Reality Project, joins Thom Hartmann. Proof is on the way for the GOP and other Climate Changing "Deniers." Researchers at the University of Breman's Institute of Environmental Physics in Germany have discovered that summer sea ice in the Arctic Ocean is now at its lowest levels since recording began back in 1979. And researchers at the University of Washington measuring the volume of that sea ice - as in how thick it still is - noted that the ice has now thinned to a record level. But despite these clear indicators of a warming planet - as well as the freak weather that's been terrorizing the nation in recent years - Americans are still unconvinced - and not too worried about global warming. According to a June poll from Yale University - only 47% of Americans believe that global warming is man-made - and just slightly more than half of the country is worried about the effects of global warming. Now - former Vice President Al Gore is trying to boost those numbers. On Thursday of this week - he'll launch a 24-hour webcast to be broadcast across the planet to make the case that man-made global warming is occurring - and it's the reason for the freak weather we've been experiencing.
