Make up some good words about this economic crisis to Old MacDonald Had A Farm.
Pigs on Wall Street had a scheme, EEyi, Eeyi, Oh. And with this scheme they stole our jobs. Eeyi, Eeyi, Oh.
With an oink, oink here, and an oink, oink there, Here an oink, there an oink, everywhere an oink, oink. Pigs on Wall Street had a scheme, Eeyi, Eeyi, Oh.
With a lie, lie here, and a lie, lie there, here a lie, there a lie, everybody lied and lied. The pigs on Wall Street lied and lied, EEyi, Eeyi, Oh.
Verse 2. With a red house here and a blue house there . . .
Verse 3. with a sub-prime here and a sub-prime there . . .
Verse 4. with a mortgage here and a mortgage there . . .
Verse 4. with a derivative here, and a derivative there. . .
Verse 5. with a Ponzi scheme here, with a Ponzi scheme . . .
Verse 6. with an interest hike here, and an interest hike there.
Verse 7. with a foreclosure here and a foreclosure there.
I'm sure that someone in the group will think up better verses than I have.
Start some songs and let people ad lib ridiculous lyrics about Wall Street and greed. Old MacDonald had a farm is a great place to start because you can include a verse about the pigs -- really a propos.
And then there is On Top of Old Smoky -- great material.
And how about She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain. Great potential.
Take childrens' songs, because everybody knows the melodies and with just a little creativity, they can be used to belittle all these serious folks in their suits.
Don't be overly serious about it. Humor will is more likely to get you air time than long faces. Make fun of these crooks up there.
Just a suggestion since I can't be in NYC.
