1. If they were Teabaggers it would be front-page news,
...and the lead story on all the channels.

3. Thanks for posting it. I saw it earlier and as always he pointed out
the fact that if it was the teabaggers, it would get saturation coverage.

Btw, did the cops ever rough up any teabaggers the way are doing to the Occupywallstreet protesters, who are not armed, btw? Did they ever arrest any of them? I don't recall seeing video of teabaggers being dragged along the ground, having their teeth knocked out, or being locked in a cell and not allowed to sleep all night? I don't remember even a normal arrest.

5. the stark difference in media/police response is astounding,.
Near zero corporate media coverage and excessive police deployment, harassment and violence being used against the peaceful protesters is the exact response that will expand this movement,.

People are not as dumb as the powers that be would like. We see the bias; tea party fighting "socialism" = patriots, progressives questioning the banking system = evil,. why is this so backwards?

8. Yes, it has already expanded the movement.
People saw the treatment of those people around the world. I think that's why they are focusing on their media equipment and those who operate it. But if so, it failed. I have read that now civil liberties attorneys and even the ACLU are getting involved. Way to help grow this movement. As one of the protesters said 'we had double the number of people sleep in the park tonight, THANKS NYPD!

6. This reminds me of the 60's.
This is nothing new. Speaking truth to power never makes the front (or back) page. This is our "democracy".

7. I wish he'd start mentioning October2011.org.
Him and Al Gore mentioned we needed a Tafir Square moment. This could be it.

9. The demands of the protesters should be clear and simple:
Edited on Thu Sep-22-11 01:49 PM by Lorien
* Those responsible for the economic collapse must be jailed.

* The banks MUST repay the taxpayers for bailouts, with 29% interest (what they charge cc holders).

* No more taxpayer bailouts for financial institutions, period.

* Break up "too big to fail" banks.

* The wealthy must be forced to pay their fair share in taxes.

* Workers must be given a larger percentage of profits in wages and benefits, CEOs and stockholders need to demand less for themselves. Companies who ship jobs overseas need to face stiff tax fines at home to prevent further outsourcing and encourage more domestic spending.

11. I have heard no mention of it on the local news.
I guess they believe if they don't talk about it then it isn't happening. What has happened to my country?

17. This whole thing has been an eye opener for me regarding the Hosts on MSNBC as they are part of the
blackout. I never thought Rachel and Ed would abandon us like they have.

I have decided they are just another branch of Pravda after all and it saddens me because I used to have respect for them.

They are it seems simply anti-GOP and not pro american working and middle class as I thought they were.
