Thom Hartmann debates Seton Motley, President, Less Government (www.lessgovernment.org), about whether Republican candidates are so weird because they have to cater to a nation of psychopaths?

1. Thom has great patience
with these psychopaths, and just shows how batshit crazy they are.

2. Oh my goodness yes! Sanity has been coming off the rails for years and has only gotten worse.
Despite our differences in opinion on various things, never forget there are some people that think or don't just care if common decency and compassion are thrown away. Lots of human animals out there of all shapes and types, wearing many different slogans and badges.
Be wary, no matter who you are!
Time to go log into a news site and read about the next commonplace human atrocity....sigh.

3. I can't watch Thom 'debate' lunatics from the right.
Because I know that it all boils down to Thom using reason, while the crazies hold onto their emotionally derived positions. Thom needs to throw the facts away and replace them with a sharp stick. Then, before he poses a question, he needs to preface it by "you stupid fucker -poke- ", and lay out one cognitive dissonance after another for them to explain. At some point, the stupid fuckers will come around.

I don't think there are as many stupid fuckers along the Gulf coast chanting "drill, baby, drill". The stupid fuckers who die from not having health insurance won't be demanding that Obamacare be repealed. Maybe some stupid fuckers in Texas are figuring out that maybe it would be a good idea to fund fire departments. My only complaint about waiting for karma to take care of these people is that karma takes too long to teach them a lesson. When a gazelle is being chased by a lion and makes a bad decision, correction is immediate. So should it be with teabaggers.

4. I agree
Being nice is an antiquated method for liberals to use. Our ideals are deeper than even most liberals realize, we must not only fight for them, we must make them permanent.

5. I don't understand why he wastes his time on these clowns.
Using reason doesn't win you a debate in the eyes of viewers, so he's not winning any of them over either.

6. When Thom has these fools on
I'm usually driving, and I make it a point to turn off the radio so I don't endanger myself or others on the road. Seriously, the air waves are filled with enough lunatics, I sure don't want to hear them on "progressive" talk shows. Right-wingers listen to us without all the regressive guests - keep 'em off! Time to e-mail Thom. Being called a liar on his own show today was too much.

9. If that guy is an example, the answer is obvious.
"Anything I don't like is socialism, and any evidence supporting things I don't like is a lie."
