I agree they need to pay, however I think it is more about stopping them from stealing from us.
Banksters lend money they do not have (fractional reserve lending) to people. They require the people to pay back the principle as well as endlessly compounding interest. When they lend money they do not have, this money is created,. however, the interest in not created. And so, people must scramble to generate all the principles and interests for these banksters. This is like a game of musical chairs as someone must loose for others to win,. or the bottom of the pyramid must be fed,. that is, new people must make loans from the banksters. The only way this system can end, if run to logical conclusion is that the banksters end up with ALL the money and there is NONE for the rest of us,. add to this a government that is intent on removing regulations and feeding this system,. pointlessly attempting to feed the pyramid with wealth our children have not yet created,. piling debt on the future public, while feeding the scam artists that maintain this inequitable system.
This system is obviously broken at its core. We simply do not need a system that spirals wealth from the many to the few. There are an endless verity of systems we can create to serve the useful functions this system once served while creating a better world for us to live in. We need to discuss these and implement our best options. Not make futile efforts to keep alive a system that is too far gone (corrupted and non-working).
here is one way to start;
