1. Crowd repeat

I think the way the crowd is repeating what the speaker is saying so the entire crowd can hear is stupid and annoying. If they just set up a professional sound system
1) everyone could hear what is being said,
2) you could hear it said by the actual speaker,
3) you wouldn’t have to spend the extra time waiting for the next phrase.

OWS should get corporate sponsorship and/or media promotion the way the T-party did at their gatherings ;)

2. I think the problem is that

setting up any kind of sound equipment is illegal.
The people are being inventive and possibly more importantly, more involved.
