"What the pundits say is going to happen at this time in the fall generally does not happen...."

1. ALRIGHT, Veterans Affiairs in Iowa do care
Sound bytes won't get it when it comes to Iraq. Biden has a plan even the Iraqis are beginning to consider. What is wrong with this plan?? Iowans are Smart.

2. The pundits just don't get it, but Iowans are really paying
attention where it counts. Hopefully the "people" will choose the nominee, not the media.

3. Well you know I loved hearing that! And am in total agreement with his
reasoning - it just makes the most sense. Go Joe!

4. I like hearing about Iowa FROM Iowans
They are more in touch than the media pundits.

5. That was awesome! It is great to hear a leading Iowa legislator be so optimistic about Biden's
chances in Iowa!

7. Nice to hear from an Iowan instead of a pundit.

8. The pundits tend to be wrong more often than they're right
but people still listen to them. Later on the pundits will say, as they always do, "who would have guessed that so-and-so would have garnered so much support at the end? Blah, blah, blah!"

9. I really don't think the pundits are any more qualified to predict outcomes than
we are. They're just guessing and playing around with the possible scenarios.

10. And they are always competing for ratings
which can color their perspective.

11. People in Iowa understand the process.
Now that this campaign is really underway, Iowans are beginning to look at the true substance in the candidates. They are listening at what they have to say on Iraq, health care, social security and more. Every time they listen the same conclusion is drawn: Joe Biden is the most prepared to hit the ground running in 2009. People in Iowa understand this war must end, but it will matter how it ends. They realize that Biden is the only candidate with an in-depth, political solution to end the war without leaving chaos behind. While the rest of the nation remains hypnotized with Clinton and Obama, Iowans are looking in to what everyone is doing and how others are reacting. While Edwards and Obama lag behind Biden in legislative endorsements across the state, heads are beginning to turn. Biden is going up in the polls and the locals know it. Though the national media is paying no attention, Iowan newscasts are. Just this week in an appearance on "The Chris Mathews Show", Iowan bigfoot, David Yepsen, suggests that Biden will "beat expectations" and finish in the top three. Biden truly is gaining traction and McCarthy is dead right!
