Diana, Princess of Wales' Mercedes may have "bumped" another large, dark car as it entered the tunnel where it crashed, witnesses said.

Jean-Claude Catheline and his wife Annick told the inquest into the deaths of the Princess and her lover Dodi Fayed that they saw two dark cars travelling quickly side-by-side into the Pont de l'Alma Tunnel in Paris in the early hours of August 31 1997.

Speaking by video link from the French capital they revealed how they heard the sound of a collision as they walked on a grassy embankment near the entrance to the underpass.

Moments later, Mr Catheline heard the sound of tyres screeching as the Mercedes carrying Diana and Dodi crashed.

He told the inquest sitting at the High Court in London: "As soon as the car disappeared from our view we heard what sounded like the bodywork bumping, I think that this noise was before the car entered the tunnel."

I never heard or seen reported about witnesses seeing a dark car or dark cars bumping the Princess's car
I heard of a white fiat never found but not about a dark car
and why didn't the French pursue or put out a bulletin on it???

Britain needs to investigate a bit better on their famous people's deaths such as Kelly and the Princess

The brits and the french have did nothing but sabotage this whole investigation right from the start. She was definitely assassinated! Probably by UK and French intel. Why is the only question. I think her campaign against land mines was the last straw. The US was determined to stop that land mine treaty in the UN! Then Diana got into it. She probably had no idea what she had done. I hope they get somewhere this time. Everybody involved should be given the death penalty.

a very respectable paper and they don't do repeat Inquests unless there is a reason

and look at Kelly's death and you see that British investigations tend to leave out pertinant information One wonders WHY?

Now one wonders why there was not a bulletin put out by police for a dark car after witnesses told police what they saw

Was it negligence but any good policemen should have been looking for not just a white fiat but a dark car that drove into that tunnel

according to some witnesses, Diana's car was BLOCKED from the route they intended to take and forced into the tunnel -- where mysteriously the lights had failed -- and all cameras on the streets and in the tunnel weren't functioning; though they had been a short time before.

Meanwhile, Richard Tomlinson, a former M16 intelligence operative who has been openly critical of M16 has been advising the Al Fayed family. It may have been Tomlinson who gave them the information that Henri Paul was a spy for M16.

Tomlinson was expected to testify in this new inquest.
Over the weekend, Tomlinson's home in Cannes was raided by French Police and he was arrested;
his computer documents and personal files were confiscated.

the doctor who was in the tunnel and first treated Diana said -- and it was reported on the news that she had a concussion - I think they said "mild" and a broken arm and some cuts to her thigh but
she was expected to be OK ---

This doctor also originally reported that Diana told him that she was pregnant.
Prince Philip is notoriously anti-semitic and has made rather crude comments about this relationship.


Further re the White Fiat . . . it was traced and the owner identified as a photographer who was also in the employ of M16. The photographer committed "suicide" by setting the car on fire.
Recently the witness who first found the body testified that he had been shot twice in the back of the head.

...and we reconstructed the Princess Diana accident.

We digitized the car in which she was a passenger. Using the data available
from the accident scene (car speed, position of the other cars) eyewitness testimony
and police reports--we concluded that she died of massive internal injuries.

Her car was traveling at a high rate of speed, and stopped abruptly. Her
body continued to travel at that high rate of speed, until she hit the backseat.
She was not wearing a seatbelt. The force severed the artery from her heart and she died.

Her death is consistent and logical--given the high speed and no seat belt.

If I remember correctly, our animation showed a white, compact car involved
in this accident. I believe it was inconsequential to the accident, although
the other cars in the tunnel catalyzed this accident.

We took measurements of the tunnel, the Mercedes, and had a team of engineers,
vehicle-dynamics experts, structural engineers, physiologists and biomedical
engineers and animators working on this project. The animation aired on "The
Learning Channel" on a show called "Crash Detectives".

I have a copy of the animation. I'll post it if anyone is interested.

Yes Diana died from a car crash but manslaughter is a charge where someone's negligence contributed to a person's death

Its all nice and neat to say the Driver was drunk and its all his fault

when now eye witnesses are saying their car was being bumped and White flashes were possibly blinding the driver

these cars and motorcycles contributed to the accident

The driver was NOT drunk -- the bodyguard has attested to this . ..
nor would Dodi or Diana have driven with anyone who was not sober.
Evidently, the driver drank pineapple juice at the bar before leaving --
and usually drank diet Coke ---

He was an expert driver highly trained in defensive actions/maneuvers.

There is no proof that the car was going at the reported 120 mph!!!
Evidently, there are witnesses who say it was going 60mph -- tops 80mph --

But, coincidentally, ALL the cameras in the surrounding area, including in the suddenly blacked out tunnel, were not functioning though they had been functioning only minutes before!!!

The "white car -- a Fiat" did make contact with Diana's car . . .
how could you call that "inconsequential" . . . ???? What???
That car was traced to a photo journalist who was also an M16 asset.
His name is Andanson . . . and he committed "suicide" in a different car --
in an military area -- by setting the car on fire.
The witness who found him has said that he was SHOT twice in the back of the head!!!

Additionally, contrary to all investigations, the area of the accident was totally cleaned and disinfected within four hours of the accident!!!

So .. . eh . .. I think you missed a few things ---

PS: NOTABLY . .. AND AGAIN . .. The doctor who was immediately on the scene reported that Diana told him she was pregnant. He also reported that she had a broken arm, a concusion and some cuts on her thigh -- he was optimistic that she would make it.

As for the treatment Diana received to SAVE HER .....
It took 15 minutes or more for an ambulance to arrive from a hospital four miles away on a holiday weekend with no traffic.
It took them an hour to get Diana out of the car -- though the back seat area was "intact."
it took the Ambulance an 1 hour and 20 minutes to get her to a hospital while passing four hospitals!!! And, making one full stop which lasted for quite some time. Also, dismissing their motorcycle escorts!!!

The injury that Diana suffered was slow bleeding, but required surgery --
in other words, they need to get her to a hospital and into surgery as quickly as possible.
This they did not do.
