2. Obama is Wall Street freindly...
When has he acknowledged this movement? Wall Street was his largest contributor in 2008....now they are for Rommney...Barack still kisses Wall Street's ass! Idiot..."I need people to approve of me" complex...Enabler over his head.

The man I once campaigned for in $, door to door, phone calls, leaflet's...not this time. And yes...Thusfar he has represented the 1%, the military complex, and is Republican lite.

28. Funny thing... every time I ask for some substantiation that 'Wall Street was his largest
contributor', I get crickets.

I'll make it simple. Out of the $750M Obama raised in 2008, how much came from Wall Street companies?

7. Well, I don't like the characterization of Al Gore...
Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 07:34 AM by MrMickeysMom
Now, which of the two do you think is bought more?

It's not a trick question. You have to consider how each one got where they arrived, and which one of the two, having gotten to the doorstep of the WH, was screwed out of his public office... Which one is better at trying to tell the truth?

Obama tells us what he's being told to tell us so that he can stay in the system that no longer works.

Al Gore, having been handed his hat, moved back to the one issue (Global Climate Change) that caused his movie to hit us... Then, as the "proprietor" of Current TV, he's done more to tell the truth than Obama has.

Obama may have enabled grass roots politics to create change we can believe in, but he succumbed to having those around him continue THE SAME.

I encourage you to see where the path has been cleared for making real change....

14. Gore = Greed Obama= Greed The System= Greed
Your defense of Gore falls a little flat. So you are saying that letting Bush do 4 more years worth of damage is okay with you because of the work done on Current TV? Really? So you are saying that all of the positive legislation that Obama has pushed through despite having no help from the Rethuglicans is not more valuable than television programming? You mean to say that Gore making tons of money for rolling over is somehow better than Obama rolling over while president? Huh? They both have been sullied by the stench of big money. Both are wrong and should have fought harder. Please spare me the Gore is good scenario.

18. You believe that Gore "rolled over"?
Really?

Please cite for me exactly how Al Gore "rolled over". I can't wait to hear it.

He "let" Bush do four more years "of damage"?

Maybe you need to read up on the history of the United States, specifically when the Supreme Court awarded the 2000 election to George W. Bush by stopping legal recounting of the votes.

15. Gore's real contribution is...
Gore's real contribution is 100 billions (trillions more to come) of your money being "managed" by the world bank under the Cancun agreement to create a cap and trade markets so bankers can manipulate national governments and profit from pollution.

6. Nice video but......
you forgot to include the monks setting themselves on fire, which is very much apart of the corruption by the top one percenters.

Barely touching the real crimes of humanity, invasion of Iraq, secret prisons of torture, predatory bombing, planned assassinations, etc. But the real problem is that people only care about their self interest. Americans don't really care about killing other people as long as it leads to cheap goods and more money.

12. Sadly,
you are wrong to lump all 'Americans' in your "don't really care about killing other people" group. There are many pacifists among the activists protesting for change. We are ignored or--worse yet--belittled.

Furthermore, the Occupy protesters embody non-violent protest and Satyagraha specifically because they really DO oppose 'killing other people.' You might want to educate yourself about this.

Here is what Anonymous would tell you:

"This is a cultural crisis and you are simply too stupid to understand."

Because I dislike the word 'stupid,' and because I know that very few of us are 'stupid,' I would say:

"This is a cultural crisis and you are simply too ignorant to understand."

You can overcome ignorance, and I strongly encourage you to do so by learning everything you can about non-violence and Satyagraha.

9. Great video,. well done.
Yes, we have a one party system,. Obama having campaigned on "change you can believe in",. changed only the name on the desk,. the policies of Bush Jr. have just continued and in many case gotten worse,. That is because they where never Bush's policies they are the policies of the 1% the real rulers.

11. Sorry - This is a video meant to incite emotionally.. I only favor and recommend
Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 10:28 AM by peacetalksforall
videos that educate through film, text, testimony, reporting, sourcing.

I am turned off. I can't figure out what the objective is or who the target audience is for presenting this with so much drama. People already know in their heart what is said here. It's a little bit opposite to non-violent.

I don't think this kind of drama creates converts. I think the people who understand are emotional enough. What is needed is spreading reasons. Helping people understand through facts.

Sorry for dissenting. It's probably just a matter of taste.

16. I don't think it creates converts, but it serves to fire up those who may be sympathetic but
inactive. Emotional incitement does have a place.

24. I think this video is fucking awesome.
Whether you agree with some or all of the sound clips and/or characterizations of certain people contained within the video, you need to see it as the big picture. People are hurting and they are outraged. It's good that they are focusing it on the entire establishment. Everyone that is or has been part of this capitalist catastrophe are going to be largely unpopular. A few good men and women may get thrown under the bus in the process, but the people as a whole are far more important than preserving a few legacies.
