I don't think forgetting the third agency he'd eliminate was such a big deal. To listen to the media this was failure on an epic scale. As usual, the media narrative is wrong. Who hasn't done this before? Who hasn't temporarily forgotten something? I didn't think it was anywhere near the catastrophe that the media pretended that it was. What I do think is an epic fail is the fact that he wants to eliminate the Dept. of Education, Commerce and Energy in the first place. The media evidently didn't have a problem with the content only the delivery. That is far more disturbing to me than temporarily blanking out with an answer in a debate.

63. I Have to Say, This is a Big Political Gaffe

but IMO it really doesn't prove Perry is dumb or disqualify him. I mean, I hope Perry isn't elected president, and I think Obama would beat him like a drum next year. But he's not clearly any worse or any dumber than any of the other candidates. In fact, the way he got shafted for being soft on illegals made he a lot less hostile to him lately.

Anyone can have a brain freeze. You don't have to have Alzheimer's. What scares me is the kind of statements Cain has made about how abortion and the 9-9-9 tax which seem to indicate a very loose grasp of some very basic material.
