As long as Texans think the way to deal with Global Warming is to pray for rain,….well, God help them.

1. "praying"... the selfish way of trying to help oneself in this case
try action you dumb fucks... you can start by admiting Global Warming is caused by the companies you invest in! Then try to curb what those companies do to polute the world around you, fucking up weather patterns around the World. In a weird way, those who deny it, deserve it the most!

Praying is a way of throwing one's own hands up in the air and claiming it is all out of your control. No it's not...

3. Rain? I thought Perry was having us pray for brain!
Well, either way, Perry has obviously not been very successful. ;-)

4. Tebowing For 'Em
The entire Lone Star State must have been dreadfully sinning for the Lord Almighty to hit them so very hard with one of the plagues he visits upon "evildoers." I'll pray for the Lone Stars after I watch National Geo and Nova, Discover, Link, FSTV, and my other favorite channels, as soon as I re-read The Sorrows of Empire, Crossing the Rubicon, The Creature from Jekyll Island, Secrets of the Temple, A Farewell to Justice, Freefall, Globalization and its Discontents, Blackwater, What's the Matter with Kansas?, 13 Bankers, It Takes a Pillage, Manufacturing Consent, What Liberal Media?, In the Spirit of Crazy Horse, Year 501, The War Against Freedom, The Shock Doctrine, The Origins of Totalitarianism, The Family, and other favorites of mine. This will take me about 3 months. Oh, I plum forgot to mention I must finish Spinoza, Kant, Nietzsche, etc. Perhaps the planet will have cooled off a touch by that time. I sure hope so. I pray, I'm praying hard, that it will be so. I'll always remember with fondness how the businessmen in Dallas would step out of their shops and say to me "Get the f.... out of here you f..... hippie!" I was dressed in slacks and brooks brother's shirt but my hair was longer than their shaved heads. That was in '66, three yrs after JFK. Never forget it. Never. I'm praying that Perry will be on t.v. every night for 'em. As Palin said, "How's that workin' out for ya now?" Too bad progressives must suffer along with the ostriches and their predators. I'm down on my knees Tebow-ing for 'em.

5. If TX has another year of drought, everything in the will die.

Except people, who could import and drill for water. But when it doesn't rain for two years straight, everything dies.

6. Not really
But soon the whole state will look like the desert around El Paso.

7. Even mesquite trees can't take two years without water.

Although it might not be as dissecated as I thought. Maybe has rained an inch or two. That's all that's really needed for something to survive.

8. You know there are mesquites that can live without rainfall
There is even a member of the mesquite family that lives in the Atacama Desert in Chile, where no rain has been recorded for 400 years. Its roots go deep enough to reach underground water that originates at elevations high in the Andes.

Climate change is going to mean vegetation change for Texas. Long term, it's hard to say what that is going to look like.

9. Well, that's a Chilean species. I'm talking about the North American ones.

They apparently can't. Maybe my source was wrong, I don't know. Maybe Texas could send down to Chile for a few of theirs. It could probably be a new invasive species in the lush environment of desertified Texas.

10. All of the mesquites are tough
And have record setting tap roots that drill down for water. If the drought hangs on, the best adapted ones will survive and may develop traits like the Chilean variety -- evolution in action.
