Yeah, it's unlikely we in this country will ever be at peace.

14. Error at 2:40 -- John Hinckley Jr. is not a "free man" |
|
Not in George Carlin's monologue, but in the video text.
John Hinckley Jr. is locked up in a psychiatric institution. That's not "free".

I watched that many years ago.
I remember being so angry at the rhetoric coming from the "moral majority". They were such obvious hypocrites. But they had the wool pulled over the eyes of millions of gullible Americans.

30. They don't even pretend today. Remember Reagan Administration |
|
had a "trial" - pfft. today? Why bother - unless it's a blow job then the moral majority must take action... :eyes:
Sadly too many "Dems" behave this way too now. No they aren't just as bad as each other granted - think I'm getting cynical! Cheers Sandy

31. Yes - after she passed his heart was broken. I have always, always |
|
adored Carlin. I was buying his records at 14yrs old <40 now> and playing them repeatedly. Love his Vietnam stuff. Noticed a very heavy "who gives a fuck" vibe from him on what I believe was his last HBO special - the stage had tombstones on it. After 45yrs of biting, poignant comedy - there was a distinct vibe and he had certainly earned the right!
Cheers Sandy
