Occupy Minneapolis is coming to South Minneapolis to occupy a foreclosed home.

Join us Sat November 19th at 1:00pm at the People's Plaza (300 S 6th St, Minneapolis)
to rally and carpool to a foreclosed home in South Minneapolis.

Stand up and organize your community. Show the banks that people matter.

Address of the home will be released Saturday, Nov 19th @ OccupyMinneapolis.mn

3. Police came to evict the Occupiers, but the Occupiers called for Re-enforcements
around 6pm (about 3 hours ago) I saw on Occupy MN that the cops were at the Occupied Foreclosed home and sent an email to others and went to the home.
I was about 5 minutes away, but the roads were icy, but when I got there, there was around 60-70 people out side chanting. The cops had ask those inside to leave and one person stayed inside and was arrested and other was arrested outside.

Neither of the two arrested will be released for at least 36 hrs not counting Sunday. no bail has been posted yet.

The people were chanting when the cops were bringing in plyboards to cover the windows and the people surrounded the house chanting the whole time and I joined them.
"When people's homes are under attack, what do we do?" "Stand up, fight back!" ""Hey people (yeah?) tell the story (yeah?) tell the whole wide world this is Shawna's territor

I was towards the back but the crowd cheered and it was then hear the cops left. I stayed for about another hour and then went home. Many people stayed.

I have been in another occupied Foreclosed action 2 years ago and know that the cops could come back tomorrow or not for a month.. you never know.

Here are some of the tweets:

2 arrests confirmed at 2nd foreclosed home. Police left after occupiers linked arms protecting Shawna's home from being boarded.

City attorney says they can't prove who owns the house so we can't be evicted for now!

We are back in the house discussing next steps. Everything quiet for now.

House meeting re-convenes. 75+ ppl.

Donate to #OccupyMpls! We have liberated 1 foreclosed home & #occupy the second one Saturday
