1. The man's mind is obviously and patently deteriorating.
He's not even effective as a hatemonger anymore.

2. Not as offensive as he usually is,
but still incredibly offensive. It's like he's never heard of mac & cheese.

Fuckhead.

6. Not that it matters but we never had a full dinner at my Granny's without a bowl of mac and cheese.
Edited on Wed Nov-23-11 03:28 PM by sandyj999
Maybe it's a southern thing. We would have a roast and potatoes or fried chicken and there was always that bowl of mac and cheese. Oh and Robertson is a misinformed idiot!

7. Yes, I think it is a southern thing.
It was served to me at holidays growing up and I serve it every holiday dinner and on special occasions. My son is supposed to make it tomorrow - taught him my recipe.

13. Did ya'll have candied yams too?
Personally, I have to have candied yams and cornbread with my baked macaroni. The meat and other veggies doesn't really matter.

15. Only if Albany, New York is part of the south
It was a frequent weekday meal when I was growing up, cheap, filling and nutritious.

Robertson, your platinum plated, mink lined elitism is showing. Retire before you make an even bigger racist ass of yourself.

8. No Pat, it's pretty much a universal thing.
My lily-white Minnesota ass has eaten about a tanker truck full of mac and cheese in my life.

.... early symptoms of Alzheimer's.

No, Pat, it's an orange thing.

And why would the woman responsible for allowing 9/11 to happen only have it once a year? Do ya think it's a welfare thing, Condie?

Remember that Top Chef episode where they had this outrageously expensive wine and black truffles (also outrageously expensive) and they had to do a dinner with these? One contestant did "comfort food" with the la-dee-da ingredients. He made mac & cheese but used several subtle rare white cheeses, and champaign in the sauce, with a layer of black truffles in the middle of each individuals personal little baking dish of the stuff. The judges loved it, of course.

10. Love macaroni and cheese as well as fettucine and cheese,
noodles and cheese. It's also a midwestern thing.

But I couldn't imagine only eating it once a year. Once or twice a week, maybe, but once a year? No way could I eat macaroni and cheese that infrequently.

14.  I'm with you!
Hard to fathom this ass-hat proponent of Christi-insanity has never eaten some Mac & Cheese - JEESE! I make it from scratch about every two weeks. It's dinner all by itself - not just a side dish. Our white-butt family grew up with this as a staple.

Pat R. ->:dunce:

25. One of my daughters developed such a taste for it that she
virtually refused to eat anything else and learned how to make her own because she didn't think I made it often enough.

She is an excellent cook today -- eats her veggies every day, so the nearly constant and monotonous diet of macaroni and cheese was not all that bad for her in the end.

After Thgday I make it and put the leftover turkey in it. Otherwise I put chicken in it. Every now and then I will make it by itself.

From the Atlantic Wire http://news.yahoo.com/pat-robertson-hasnt-heard-mac-cheese-201824041.html

"Okay, we were so ready to see Watts, who is black, respond awkwardly. But no! She enthusiastically replies, "It is a black thing, Pat, it is. Listen and you guys, other people, the world needs to get on board with macaroni and cheese." "

Is she covering for him so she can keep her job or is she just as ignorant, thinking it really is a black thing and no one else is "on board"?

I keep hearing people using that term and it annoys me like people calling San Francisco "Frisco".

27. I thought everyone had mac and cheese for the holidays.
Although I had a friend who was White and she was surprised when I said it had to be done for Thanksgiving. I'm from Haiti---and we're a Haitian-American family but it's a thing we have to have. You don't have the holidays without M&C.
