1. I just saw the repeat on Ed. Wow. I would be so proud if

he were my son. And so in love if I were his age. :7

Last I heard was that he couldn't speak and they were hoping for improvement. I'm so grateful he's apparently continuing to get better.

What happened to his neck/spine? I recall he had a brain injury, not sure if I heard (or just forgot) about something that would require that neck brace.

2. I took an oath to protect the constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic...

that says it all. We should all be concerned about the threats that have come out against our First Amendment rights. However, there doesn't seem to be much focus on this. I guess if we are going to challenge income inequality the first thing TPTB needs to do is make sure we stop complaining about it and make sure we can't come together to figure out how to fix the mess they made.

10. People don't realize the road we're marching (goosestepping?) down -

it's really huge to wrap your head around. They've been very clever about how they've taken away so many rights -- a little here, a little there. I'm one of the ones who believe 9/11 was as it seemed (with Condi and the CIA, FBI dropping the ball and having a large share of the responsibility), but I've no doubt that Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al, were probably gleeful at the "opportunity" to start implementing this shit.

TPTB are pretty good at stopping us from complaining and silencing those who manage to slip through. It's truly frightening.

6. Scott still has some work ahead of him, but he is trying so hard.

I can't imagine they haven't figured out who did it. From the photos before the "accident" it appeared he was just standing quietly along the edge, watching what was happening to others.

He has a beautiful attitude about what happened and his future. Truly amazing.

8. The whole police dept. should be indicted and pay for injuring

this dedicated young man. This mayhem wrought by city military police forces is criminal. If this were my son I would want revenge.

7. He is admired and respected by everyone in OWS

He put himself on the line for what he believed in and paid dearly for it. And it hasn't stopped him. He's a hero in every sense of the word, especially to the movement. Love and good vibes for his continued recovery.

9. The major missing ingredient in most protests

here in the US has been that the returning vets have not participated. But they have joined us now and they are standing strong.
