Below is a recent thread that takes a while to get to the concept, but it reminds me of what your'e saying here. 'Depotism,' oh. yeah.
We're also well into 'Nepotism' now as the first thing that the Teahadists did was give their friends and family state jobs they weren't qualified for at great pay. This was outlawed almost a century ago, but it was forgotten. The OP video explains why, since Americans, including Democrats, have bought into the politics is dirty and beneath my attention. Part of it is. But if we cede the public square to the corporatists, things will be a lot dirtier.
Here's that mind twisting thead:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2428754To that I add these quotes that show what the OWS movement is addressing, because there are fundamental issues about how we are to survive on this planet under this system:
In reality libertarianism as an impartial ideal of maximum freedom and justice seems to be a kind of fantasy. We are all born into a world in which property is neither evenly distributed nor freely available. This situation came about through history, in which piracy, imperialism, genocide, slavery, etc. have all had an important part. No individual is free just to live their own life, since (for instance) there is no free land to farm. We all depend on others (especially if we are poor or handicapped by low social status, low intelligence, unpopular ethnicity, or disability, etc.) A government that adopts a completely laissez faire approach effectively sides with the pirates, slave-owners, etc. and their descendants. -- Duncan Richter
LAND, n. A part of the earth's surface, considered as property. The theory that land is property subject to private ownership and control is the foundation of modern society, and is eminently worthy of the superstructure. Carried to its logical conclusion, it means that some have the right to prevent others from living; for the right to own implies the right exclusively to occupy; and in fact laws of trespass are enacted wherever property in land is recognized. It follows that if the whole area of _terra firma_ is owned by A, B and C, there will be no place for D, E, F and G to be born, or, born as trespassers, to exist. - from Ambrose Bierce's 'The Devil's Dictionary'
The words of Scott Olsen echo that in the interview he gave a short time ago: 'the right to exist.' It's in clearly in question now when all this power is being accumulated. Still, it's a beautiful world. Let's try to focus on that, too, to bring it to pass. We are the ones who can bring this about, but we have to be aware to clean things up. Another good place to look for encouragement are the words of David Korten on youtube and the online magazine, Yes.
