Another brief video about our new discussion forum software, DU3. We will be doing a public preview of the software this week. :)

We call them the Malicious Intruder Removal Team. Members of the Team (and Administrators) have access to the Malicious Intruder Removal forum.

2. Excellent!

Will there be a wider-format CSS for table-sized devices? I gave up my Droid phone in favor of a tablet. I can read fairly easily without scrolling too much if I pinch-down the size of the display. Often, the type gets to be too small if I fit the text to the window size (even held horizontally).

I'm just curious. There are a lot of considerations and a lot of code to handle multiple display sizes. (I understand because I'm a web designer IRL.)

5. Star Members will be able to choose the version of DU they want to see.

Currently, I think tablets are automatically served the standard desktop version of the site. However, you can change your preferences if you prefer to view the site in "Classic" view (which removes the left column navigation) or "Mobile" view, which is what you saw in that video.

The mobile version stretches wider if you view it on a larger screen. (For the purposes of the demo, we "forced" the view to 320 pixels wide. But in practice, it will spread out to fill more horizontal space so it feels roomier on a larger screen.)

3. I have a huge Samsung Infuse phone...

Giant screen which allows me to comfortably navigate full screen.

What if I prefer the full site? Will there be an option when logging on to view full site instead of the mobile version?

6. Star Members can set preferences to view DU how they want.

There are three versions:

Standard -- the full desktop version.
Classic -- removes the left-hand navigation on most pages, and spreads the content to fill the full screen.
Mobile -- optimized for small screens.
