understand what's going on in that discussion.

3. Interesting snippets on how 'Hosts' will work

Limited to 90 consecutive days, responsible for locking threads that violate the purpose of the forum/group. Only the host that locks a thread can unlock it.

My big question is how abusive individual posts inside threads will be dealt with. But I'm sure you'll reveal that soon ...

11. How will the DU experience be impacted

for those of us stuck on dialup? I can't watch the video, and when I click on the "visit DU3 now" at the top of the page all I get is a blank white screen.

13. Have you ever thought of having a Greatest page for most recs per WEEK ?

For those who can't be on DU every hour or every day, it would be extremely valuable to be able to go to a page that shows the most rec'd threads for the last week. If you miss just one day, you could never see an article that had 200 or more recs, and that could be the article that changes your life! If you had a page where all the most rec'd threads of the last week were shown, it would be really useful. Have you ever thought of doing something like this?

18. jury thing is a bit annoying

don't like seeing free speech cut off. :( feels so undemocratic like :( Moved yes, but having (not my thread )someone tell the poster to repost it elsewhere is like false advertising. and meritline*com is full of it. Switched ink caartridge brands and kept the reviews to the other brand. kinda like hey repost a thread elsewhere. Poster can't exactly move the posts with it. :(

21. Will I be able to log in pretty much the same way as before?

When I tried to negotiate the system, it asked for user name and password. I got "password doesn't match," and was told to enter my e-mail. That was found not to match. I tried to contact administrators and there was no response from my computer. I am sending a post card with appropriate data. Otherwise, this looks pretty good.

I've frequently wished I could share some of TimeForChange or MadFloridian's posts.
