1. Reagan was to the far left of Obama
Reagan would never have extended Bush tax cuts to billionaires and millionaires.

"And Obama's $ 16 trillion to fraudsters on Wall Street worked wonders!"

"It is fact per Congressional audit of Fed made possible by Bernie Sanders."

...it's not a fact, and the audit was mandated by a provision in Dodd-Frank, which Senator Sanders championed and supported.

12. I agree with what you're saying, but
that's not part of what's being SAID by GOP GOD Reagan in that clip. I don't recall Ronnie with any fondness either, but it doesn't hurt to rub the noses of those who do, in the reality of what their fog-shrouded icon really WAS like.

5. Fuck Ronald Reagan
I understand why you'd post something like this, but I don't give a crap what Reagan said. We're still living with the consequences of the rightwing Reaction he inflicted on this country.

6. It's
"I understand why you'd post something like this, but I don't give a crap what Reagan said."

...a political ad using a fairly standard tactic, and not aimed at those who can't stand Reagan. It's purely to highlight the extreme positions of the current GOP, and it doesn't hurt to make those who still idolize Reagan uncomfortable.

8. Um, I doubt this will make anyone who idolizes Reagan feel uncomfortable
They have a wonderful propensity for filtering this kind of thing out.

At the same time, it only serves to give Reagan a modicum of respectability that he doesn't deserve given he's the one who willingly put a smiley face on the right's effort to drive us back to the Gilded Age.

9. Well,
"Um, I doubt this will make anyone who idolizes Reagan feel uncomfortable"

...how do explain the cheering that results when Republicans are called on their hypocrisy?

When Huntsman supports global warming or some other Republican's position is used against the GOP, that seems to be OK.

Some people actually use Ron Paul's positions to show he stands for some good things, although his entire goal is to wipe out the government and every regulation enacted this century. In fact, spotlighting his position are rarely to show hypocrisy, but often to show his integrity on a particular issue. It's repulsive.

The ad is spotlights Republican hypocrisy because some of the very candidates who oppose raising taxes on the rich are holding up Reagan as a model.
