we have not had a democracy for a long time
poor and minorities have been systematically denied their vote for decades

4. To think one elected official can eliminate an elected officials he disagrees with

and put a crony in his place without elections, without consultation with the people.

It's like the President declaring that Governors are not capable of running their states and then replacing them with a Goldman Sachs executive.

Or like declaring a national emergency and disbanding congress.
