Today, as the campaign kicked-off its "Main Street Express" bus tour in Des Moines, Senator John Edwards delivered new remarks relating the challenges and triumphs of his own life to those the country faces right now, and made the case that in the face of powerful interests holding the country back, we will right the wrongs and make our nation the way we want it to be. During the eight-day tour, Edwards will discuss his plans to stand up to the special interests on Wall Street and help hard-working families on Main Street.

Go to the http://johnedwards.com/iowa and watch Madeleine Stowe knocking on doors in Iowa and talking to ordinary Iowa voters in their home. It is really easy to reach out to your neighbors. You meet so many people when you canvass your own precinct to talk to voters about your candidate. I hope to do that for Edwards as our primary in California approaches. Don't be afraid to try. The least you can do is put a brochure on the door of every Democratic voter in your area. It takes a few weekend afternoons and a pair of good walking shoes and some brochures. I notice that the younger and older voters appreciate the personal contact the most.
