On March 21st it will be one year since Nobel Laureate Al Gore went up to Capitol Hill as he had called Roger Revelle in the seventies, to tell of the urgency of the climate crisis and what we all must do to make necessary changes in time. To date, neither Congress nor any of the presidential candidates have come up with a plan that meets this urgency. What then have we all done in the last year to truly heed his warnings and the warnings of scientists? Arctic summer ice is predicted to be gone by 2013, and ALL of it gone by 2030. Now if presidential candidates can do the math, and it isn't fuzzy, 2030 comes before 2050. We are running out of time to do what we must do to head off a catastrophe we are making. This is a very well done video that remixes his heartfelt testimony about a crisis that IS the defining moral issue of our time. Hopefully, once all of the rancor and backbiting is over people can concentrate on what is really important. Our planet.
