Did anyone here see HBO's 'Temple Grandin'?

I thought it was good and Claire Dane's portrayal of Temple
was excellent!

Temple Grandin is a true story of a young lady with autism,
who overcame the roadblocks and discrimination against her
( she grew up in the 50's)
to get her Masters Degree,PhD and design/ develop humane methods of
treating livestock,

She is now an assistant professor at the Colorado State University, teaching
Animal Science.

Temple is a strong advocate for those with autism and Asperger's.
She is against "curing" autism and advocates better understanding
and acceptance instead.

If you have cable, see if your cable provider has any specials on HBO.

Mine still offers it for $5/mo which is reasonable.

Otherwise, I'm sure it will be out on DVD soon.

3. I recorded it. I haven't watched it yet because I'm waiting for an opportunity

to watch without my husband, who is not interested in watching it. We have an autistic son that is 13 now.
