wonderful, fascinating aspie son and his fellow aspies and I'm also familiar with current expert interpretations that now believe that many artists, scientists, inventors, etc., of the past were aspies or had some form or autism. Including Mozart, considered the greatest composer who ever lived, and Einstein, one of the smartest, most unique geniuses who ever lived. I even have a list somewhere of those who are now considered to have been aspies or ASD. A large part of it is the very unique, original, outside-of-the-box way their minds work. I saw that very early with my own son.
I'd love to shove a copy of that article in the faces of the fascists at FAAAS. Actually, I'd like to shut that whole hateful organization and its attempts to make the lives of my son and his fellow adult aspies as difficult as possible. And all it took was a whisper of a rumor that hubby has AS (which he does NOT, btw, not that I'd care if he did) to make things difficult for him in some ways. Damn FAAAS and that whole hateful harem.
