My wonderful son with Asperger's

called me to wish me Happy Mother's Day. I honestly didn't think he'd call, and it didn't bother me at all. He's not all that tuned in to such social niceties as Mother's Day, and he's still a wonderful son. I told him he made being a mom worthwhile.

drove 6 hours to come see us and is out in the den playing video games with my husband as we speak. Nice. :-)
