"Aspie politician...is that a bar joke?"
So...I am currently doing my weirdest project to date, which is getting myself elected to public office. Yeah, me. No-eye-contact, phone-fearing, prosopagnosiac me. I'm doing it by following the advice of a super-social genius, who I rely on as my "social brain" to recognize people, tell me when to hug people, and help me convey ideas in language that doesn't turn people off because it's too intellectual.

I have the nomination of the Democratic party; they say my chances are fairly good of winning this election.

Isn't that a hoot and a half?

Tucker

1. That would be amazing.
An Aspie would bring some interesting perspective on things.

What office are you running for?

I ran for office myself in 2004 (lost, alas) but I did get my Aspie son to go door to door with me a couple of times.

4. There has also been talk about Al Gore
who, you will recall, actually did win the 2000 election.

5. Well, I didn't win...but I did better than any other Democratic non-incumbent in my county
In my state almost all Democrats lost, including the two incumbents near me who were pegged by everyone as guaranteed winners. I'll try again next time...
