Liability lawyers
Edited on Sat Dec-23-06 02:11 PM by yankhadenuf
I know parents don't always want to talk about the future and money, but when our Asperger's/PDD children becomes adults, money becomes more of an issue. Now that Canada has issued irrefutable evidence that mercury causes neuron degeneration in the brain I feel like having a class action suit against the governmental organizations that were supposed to protect us from mercury harm all these decades ago (since the USA knew since the 1950's according to their own studies)
... Does anyone know of any environmental liablility lawyers or vaccine lawers that would represent autistics/Asperger's and their parents?

Unfortunately the stats are terrible for parents of autistic/Asperger's > the divorce rate is 75%-80%.
This means most adult autistics/Asperger's will be taken care of by one parent for the rest of their lives.

I feel tens of thousands of American autistics/Asperger's have a solid pollution /vaccine liability case now , due to mercury toxicity.

Please use this thread to recommend liability lawyers in the fields of mercury toxicity due to environmental harm and vaccines .

1. I'm the mother of a teenage boy with Asperger's,
diagnosed eight years ago when he was in the first grade after several years of knowing that something just wasn't quite "right" with him. But I'm also a paralegal, and I know that, at this time, there just isn't enough legal ground to stand on for such a class-action suit to be successful, not enough at all.

And I'm as strong an environmentalist as they come, but the evidence is still out when it comes to the link between autism/Asperger's and environmental causes. The reason there appears to be a surge in cases these past several years has much more to do with increased awareness on the part of doctors, schools, teachers and parents, and vastly improved diagnostic techniques, than any environmental causes.

And I may be a single parent, but I can certainly understand why the divorce rate for parents of these children would be so high. It's emotionally, mentally, physically and financially exhausting and I'm sure it would take a toll on even strong marriages. I'm very fortunate to be seriously involved with a wonderful man who understands the situation and who will likely make a great stepfather for my son. Very fortunate, indeed.
